WebJul 3, 2024 · If the cub tractor has a magneto the governor must be put back in time. The marks on the gears can be difficult to see. Also can be difficult to try and insert back in with the mag still installed, because of the helix of the gears. It seems to run fine for a while, but then the rod that comes from the front of the engine starts pushing the throttle all the way open causing it to flood and stall out. It sometimes does this to the point that gas is running out of the hole in the bottom of the carb. morrowind ratedWebThe best way to do this is to move the throttle from idle to full open and note the way the governor shaft moves. If it goes clockwise, then loosen the clamp screw and with the throttle wide open turn the shaft all the way clockwise and re-tighten the nut.
