Web26 aug. 2024 · The drive works fine for about 20 minutes and then disappears from /sys/bus/usb/devices/. The only way to get back the drive is to unplug , replug and remount it. The problem shows up with a WD spinning drive as well connected via USB -> SATA adapter. I tried a different cable , going via a unpowered USB hub etc. Web4 jul. 2024 · I am experiencing both random disconnects as well as slower speeds than I expect to get. Most regularly, the Ethernet connection does not recognize that there is a cable plugged in without disabling and then re-enabling the the connection. On startup, the computer says there is no plug in the Ethernet connection.
WebBy way of update - my M.2 is now NOT being detected more often. It is very dumb in my case, but the fix is to shut down, disconnect from power, leave it unplugged for a miinute, plug back in and reset BIOS. This usually gets it to come up and stay up for a while, if it fails I repeat the process until it works.
